About Public AI Switzerland

Public AI Switzerland is a customer-owned cooperative. We help Swiss residents access, own, and govern Swiss AI.

Our mission: to build and support public AI in Switzerland.

Public AI Switzerland is the Swiss chapter of the larger movement for public AI (a.k.a. "Public AI", capitalized). Like many people in this movement, we believe that AI should be a form of public infrastructure like parks, trains, or electricity.

If you're curious, take a look at our sister projects including the Public AI Inference Utilty, a nonprofit open-source project building the technical infrastructure, and the Public AI Network, a watering hole for the movement.

Don't use "ordinary residents". Nobody want to be ordinary.

What do the cantons actually need — and what do we just think they need?
